Need to get some help changeing my windsheild frame on my 93 yj . ( hard to do with one set of hands ) The biggest problem is that the fasteners that hold it to the body are turning up under the dash, Does any one have a good fix for this??? I would also like to mount a set of mirror relocation mounts as well . The other project I would like to do to my rig is a locker in the rear any advise or input would be welcome . And of course i would need to purchase a locker as well. Mrgreen
To keep the bolts from turning I suggest superglue. It has helped me out many times.
the only way to get at those nuts on the backside is trying to scrape out all of the seam sealer, good luck. it is easier to just unbolt the upper portion of the bracket at the windshield and leave the lower portion alone, if you don't strip the torx bolts first. the dash would need to come out if you plan to get at those inner nuts, if you do ,lay the windshield down first.
